I realised something this week about how my travel desires have changed over time.
When I lived in the city, all I wanted was a remote beach escape.
When I lived by the beach, all I wanted was the mountains.
And now… all I want is a quiet cabin somewhere in the woods with no signal.
So I’ve concluded that the solution to all of this is… I’m the problem 😂
Jokes aside, it really makes me wonder why that’s the case. Maybe it’s where we are
in life or maybe we’re always just craving what we don’t have (how typically human!).
Any thoughts?

Tromsø Accessible Tours

The Northern Lights are on many travel bucket lists but not everyone gets to experience them with ease. For Martin, that never quite made sense.
After years working in tourism in Tromsø, it was a trip guiding travellers with reduced mobility that changed everything. What he saw were not limitations in people, but barriers in the way travel is designed. So he set out to build something different.
Tromsø Accessible Tours was created with a simple idea: that Arctic experiences should be for everyone, not as an afterthought but from the very beginning. Set within Norway’s Arctic Circle, the team offers a range of experiences throughout the year, from Northern Lights chasing to Arctic adventures designed with accessibility in mind.
With step free access, adapted transport and thoughtful planning, these experiences are designed to be enjoyed by a wide range of travellers, from those with reduced mobility to families, older travellers and anyone who wants to experience the true magic of the Arctic.
These are not “adapted” experiences, but ones designed from the ground up to be more inclusive, making it easier for more people to experience places like Tromsø without compromise.
And in a place as wild and beautiful as the Arctic, Martin shows that when travel is designed with more people in mind, the experience becomes better for everyone.

❄️ What’s Not
Overcrowded spots, instagram hyped up photo locations and destinations. Having a checklist of things to see in cities and rushing through rather than savouring. Not showing cultural appreciation to locals, not researching local customs and traditions before travel.
