Made up of restored farm buildings dating back centuries, Ripostena Country House sits among the hills of Chianti in Tuscany, Italy, surrounded by forests, olive groves, vineyards and walking trails.

What was once a working farmstead has been carefully brought back to life, with 10 apartments and an independent villa preserving the character of the original village.

Traditional stonework, local materials and regional craftsmanship can be found throughout the property, while solar energy, rainwater irrigation and other environmental initiatives help protect the surrounding landscape.

Guests can spend their days exploring medieval villages, visiting local wineries, joining cooking experiences or simply enjoying the countryside from the estate.

The story behind Ripostena began in 1989 when Alberto stumbled upon an abandoned hilltop village while searching for a home. Seeing potential where others saw ruins, he spent the next 6 years restoring the village while preserving its rural character.

It is the kind of stay that reminds you Tuscany is not just vineyards and beautiful views, but the people, traditions and landscapes that have shaped the region for generations.
