TL;DR:

Tallinn is the kind of city that can't quite decide what century it belongs to and that's exactly what makes it charming.

One moment you're wandering through a perfectly preserved medieval Old Town, dodging cobblestones and admiring towers straight out of a fairy tale. The next, you're sipping specialty coffee in a former factory while locals discuss start-ups, saunas and taxes.

Estonians are often described as reserved, but don't take it personally. If a local invites you to their summer cottage after a few conversations, you've basically been adopted. Tallinn is compact enough to explore on foot, yet full of surprises: hidden courtyards, quirky museums, seaside promenades and more cafΓ©s than you could visit in a weekend.

If you hear someone say Estonia is the world's most digital society, it's true. You can do almost anything online here. Except predict the weather. Even the locals haven't figured that one out yet.

  • πŸ™Œ #Culture 1: Keep a bit of distance when talking to people, Estonians really value their personal space.

  • πŸ§–πŸΌ #Culture 2: Sauna is more than just relaxation, it’s also where big discussions and decisions happen. Sauna is often combined with cold plunges.

  • πŸ’» #Culture 3: In Estonia, you can do almost everything online, from filing taxes to voting, and most services are just a few clicks away thanks to the country’s highly digital setup.
